Opening Prayer    (Psalm 118: 1-2, 14-24)

ALL: Praise the Holy One, who is so good, whose faithful love endures forever!  Let the house of Israel proclaim, “God’s faithful love endures forever!”

You are my strength and power.  You have become my deliverer.  There are shouts of joy for victory in the tents of the faithful.  Your right hand does mighty deeds;

Your right hand exalts me.  I shall not die, but live and proclaim what you have done.

Open the gates of fidelity for me that I may come with thanksgiving.  This is the Holy One’s gate, which the just and faithful may enter.  I will thank you because you answered me and became my deliverer.  The stone the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. That is your doing, marvelous in our eyes!  This is the day you made!  Let us

rejoice and enjoy it!
